As  an Intern Architect at Restaurants Consulting Group (RCG) I have many jobs. I work in AutoCAD and Revit doing plans and exterior and interior renders of our projects. I work with our head designer and the head of the firm in working out client needs and desires and transforming those into a design that they enjoy. I also work with vendors and suppliers in securing pricing and lead times for any materials that we use for our projects. As well as meeting with them to go over new materials in their lineups.  All in all I have no one job and work with everyone in the firm to make projects move efficiantly out the door.

At Zanardo I was part of a very small office of only 3 people. I was the lone draftsman/ production to the owner and architect. I worked on getting their first job to be done completely in Revit up and running. I mainly worked on construction documents and a few details. I also helped maintain computer and printer stability by fixing anything I could in house before contacting their IT support for extra back up.

As an Intern architect here at LDDI I have started my IDP hours and have completed roughly 56%. I have worked on retail, government, and medical projects both interior and exterior. I have worked closely with the interior designers and engineers on projects.  My job started as simple production work but soon morphed into involving many more tasks, not all of which were related to the architecture field. I now help run the in house IT portion of our company. Mainly I help fix Revit issues or answer questions when problems arise, I help fix the printer and make sure our backups are running smoothly as well as recommending different programs to buy or upgrades to do to our computers to remain competitive. I organized a 2 day training session with Repro Products for our more advanced Revit users to have them learn new modeling techniques and features that they had yet to use in projects. I have morphed from a simple architect in training to much more in the almost 2 years that I have been at this firm.
